Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National park
You will be welcomed by our guide and if time allows having a short city tour before proceeding to the North of Rwanda where Volcanoes National Park is located. You will enjoy the scenic views of the rolling hills of this small country as you approach the home of the Gorillas in the high mountains of this country. Arrive in the evening and check in at the lodge within the park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at this lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking
After breakfast on this day, you will drive to the Park offices where the rest of the visitors are gathered for briefing very early at 7 am to be guided on what to do while in the forest with the Gorillas. You will then go into the forest with guides following the gorilla trails until you reach them and be allowed to spend one full hour in their presence. This hour is your opportunity to ask all your questions and discover all you did not know about the Gorillas. You will then be led back to the starting point and join your driver to return to Kigali for lunch and departure.
