Day 1: pick up & transfer to Nyungwe Forest National park
Arrive at Kigali International airport where you will find the driver guide from Kabaffulo Safaris waiting for you. He/she will greet and introduce you to Rwanda, briefly taking you through this 3 Days plan. You will the drive through Kigali city headed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. You can visit few spots in the city centre such as the genocide centers, Kimironko market and Kabaka’s palace as drive south westwards to Nyungwe Forest National park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking & canopy walk
You will rise up very early and have a heavy breakfast. The lodge will give you packed lunch and then transfer to Uwinka park headquarters where registration and briefing on the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking take place. Together with other travelers who may be present, you will be assigned a chimpanzee community to trek. Alternatively, you can trek in Cyamudongo forest which was initially part of the min forest but was detached by deforestation. Chimpanzee trekking lasts for an hour from the moment you see them. In the afternoon, join a canopy walk for aerial views of the Virunga volcanoes, Nyungwe Forest and the neighboring communities. Canopy walk entails walking on a bridge raised 60 meters above the main forest
Day 3: Departure
Following a heavy breakfast, enjoy your last moments in Nyungwe Forest National park, An optional nature walk offers you chance to explore the natural beauty of Nyungwe Forest as you enjoy the sweet melodies of birds sweetly singing as they wake up. You will then check out and drive back to Kigali for your departure flight
