The 4 days double Gorilla safari experience gives you a chance to meet two Gorilla families on the same trip. Enjoy 2 gorilla treks to meet up with two different gorilla families one in Bwindi Forest and the other one in Mgahinga gorilla National park. Uganda the Pearl of Africa is home to the high number of gorillas in the whole world. The 4 Days Uganda double gorilla safari takes you to Bwindi forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National parks. Bwindi shelters roughly 450 mountain gorillas living in 20 gorilla families while Mgahinga gorilla park shelters 1 gorilla group. Altogether, you will spend 2 full hours with the endangered gorillas to learn their social behaviors and enjoy their company.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will be picked up on arrival at the airport very early in the morning or be picked up from your Hotel in Kampala and be on your way to Bwindi’s impenetrable forest national park. The journey takes between 6-8 hours depending on the stopovers as you travel. You will drive through the countryside enjoying the fresh breath from the lush green vegetation as you head to the west of Uganda where Bwindi National Park is found. You will have a stopover for lunch and proceed to Bwindi through Ntungamo and Kabale towns before arriving at your destination in the evening hours. Check-in at the lodge, relax, have dinner, and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi National Park
The day starts with breakfast at the lodge and drive straight to the briefing point in the park with your guide where you will be allocated Gorilla groups to track. You will then hit the jungle with t team of ranger guides and begin to search for a habituated gorilla family. After hours of trekking in the high mountains, you will meet a gorilla group and be allowed to spend a full hour in their presence as you learn their individual behaviors. You will then be led back to meet your guide at the starting point and drive to the lodge for relaxation and to prepare for the next day’s activities. Dinner and night stay will be at the lodge.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga National Park
Day 3 begins with a tasty breakfast at the lodge and be on your way to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in the neighboring district of Kisoro. You will be early enough to catch up with briefing at the park and join the team of visitors to start tracking the Gorillas. After an hour or more of trekking in the high mountains, you will meet the Gorillas and spend one hour with them and the guides as they get all your questions about Gorillas answered. Be careful to notice the individual behavior of the Gorillas and compare their character with the other Gorillas you saw the previous day. Return to the starting point after this amazing experience with the Gorillas and meet your guide to drive you to your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.
Day 4: Return to Kampala
Have your breakfast early and begin your journey to Kampala.
