Book a 4 days Uganda Gorilla and Lake Bunyonyi trip and have a chance to meet the giant apes in their natural habitat in Bwindi forest the home to the largest population of mountain Gorillas in the world. Gorilla Tracking is apparently the major activity in Bwindi and over 21 gorilla families have been habituated and are living in this impenetrable forest. Lake Bunyonyi is also another safe haven for holiday makers with a wide range of activities like zip lining, biking, canoeing and birding among others.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Bwindi National Park
You will be picked by our professional guide/driver from your Hotel early in the morning after your breakfast and start on the journey transferring to Bwindi forest national park. Enjoy the scenic views of the beautiful lush vegetation by the roadside as you proceed to your destination on a 7-8 hours’ drive from Kampala. There will be stopovers at the equator for a photo moment and at the Igongo cultural center for lunch. Proceed to Kabale through Ntungamo town enjoying the beautiful rolling hills on this countryside as you approach Bwindi in the evening hours. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa visit
After your breakfast at the lodge on this day, you will drive off with your driver and head to the park offices to meet other guests and be briefed together on the rules for Gorilla trekking. You will soon be ushered into the forest by the guides following the forest trails until you meet the habituated Gorilla family allocated to you. You will be given one hour in their presence from the time of encounter and then return to meet your guide to go have your lunch. Head out for a visit to the Batwa community to explore the ancient lifestyle of the former forest people. You will be introduced to their hunting skills and also visit their local herbalists to learn about the use of herbs as medicine. Return to the lodge to rest, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi located in the same area just an hour’s drive from Bwindi. You will soon arrive and start on the breathtaking activities like zip lining and a boat ride later to explore the different Islands on this lake. The Islands are covered with farmland, other occupied by humans while others are just abandoned. Look out for the different bird species and the different human activities on the different Islands. You can also choose to spend this whole day relaxing by the lake shores and swim in this croc-free lake enjoying the fresh breath of this cold part of Uganda. Lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.
Day 4: Departure
Wake up early, have your breakfast and set off for Kampala as you leave Uganda.
